Brand Strategy - I dive deep into understanding the essence of the brand. This involves uncovering the company's core values, mission, vision, and target audience. I work closely with the client to extract key insights, ensuring that the visual identity we create aligns perfectly with their brand's goals and resonates with their audience.
Logo Construction - After exploring many options for the logo, I knew that creating a smart symbol depended on how well I could seamlessly combine an arrow (to communicate forward movement) with the letter K.
Clear Space & Patterns - The company insisted on keeping the forward-moving arrow idea consistent, so I slanted the arrow subtly but intentionally to avoid blending in with similar arrow patterns online.
Brand Guideline - I created style guides for each extension of the brand, including Channel Affiliate, Konak-Certified Partners, and Konak itself, to help each sector market the brand consistently with respect to its mission.
To ensure the logo is legible in smaller sizes, I put it through a rigorous refinement process beyond what has been shown publicly. Viewers must be able to read the name from a distance and recognize the mark instantly.
Stationery - One benefit of designing a distinct yet simple symbol is the clarity and beauty achieved when printed on marketing materials. When designing for a real company, overly ornate but impractical ideas must be set aside.
